The KL Mike Team has been created some times ago, in
1998 by our friend Mike.
Mike managed to find necessary funding to practice his passion, speed ski. From
these early days, he has organised a support meal, proposed a special vintage with a
customised label, created the "club des cents", sold a supporter card and
distributed table sets in several cafés/restaurants.
All this work brought good fruits since Mike is now among the world elite of
speed ski and has been a solid Swiss number three for several years.
But times are changing and it is more and more difficult to find
the necessary funds for a full world cup season. Specially when it is an extreme
sport, a bit peripheral and very individualistic.
That's why, at the end of the 2005 season with a good 5th range in the world cup
for Mike and a world bronze medal for Alex (Christian did not run last season
because of physical problems), we decided to put our ideas and contacts in
common to increase our chances in the sponsors search.
The first idea was to create a sponsoring dossier we could present to our future
partners. The idea was good but we needed help for the conception.
We are lucky enough to have as a good friend, a charming person named Brit, good
photographer (when her camera is working) and expert in communication who
accepted to do the work.
The first meeting of the team took place on Monday 2nd of May 2005. We defined
the structures of the dossier to allow Britt to start the her work. While
discussing, the idea of a Web site allowing us to communicate and inform was
risen. We then asked Michel to help us in this domain.
The KL MIKE TEAM site is born and we are happy to introduce it to you. The
adventure, will be long thanks to the support of our families, friends and
partners.
Speed ski is a sport full of feelings where respect, friendship and passion are
